Ladies Fitness Centers

Have you ever experienced mothers bringing older boys into the ladies locker room?

Do you say anthing to them? Are you uncomfortable? At my gym we have a family locker room, but still some women bring their sons in the ladies room. Sometimes these kids appear to be much older than the age limit of 5. At places like the water park its much worse because their isn't a family locker room and it makes my daughters very uncomfortable when they change. Does anyone else run into this problem?

  1. Yeah I have experienced things like this. The best thing to do is either wait for the boys to go out or change in the bathroom.
  2. If it is at a gym with a family locker room talk to the management and ask them to put a notice on the door of the ladies locker for boys over the age of 3 please use the family locker room. At the water park their is not much they can do, I wouldn't want my little boy to go into one by himself.
  3. Yeah I've experienced this...some mothers are oblivious to other people. I didn't say anything because they were on the way out, but I did notice several girls clutching their towels and keeping to the corners of the locker room.
  4. I had an embarrassing experience related to this not too long ago. My friend’s mom drove us to the pool and on the way in she insisted that my friend’s brother and his friend come with her through the ladies room. I was shocked because they were 9 years old and I never had seen a kid much older than diapers age in the women’s locker room before. We all had worn our suits there so we just walked on through but I did notice some women and girls look uncomfortable as we walked through. Anyway, when we were leaving my friend and I were showering because we were going shopping after. I was in a shower with a curtain that of course barely closed all the way. Well at one point my friend’s mom poked her hand around my curtain to take my suit for her to dry. I gave it to her and continued my business but she apparently had accidentally jerked the curtain open about a quarter of the way on the other side. Just my luck I didn’t notice till I turned around a minute later to see the two boys sitting quietly on a bench with a perfect view into my shower. I was so embarrassed that these little brats had been watching my bare butt in the shower! I quickly closed the curtain, and later the boys teased me about it so I complained to my friend’s mom that the boys shouldn’t have been in the locker room in the first place. She was just like yeah I guess your right but I hate sending them into the men’s room alone. Great, so they got a free show while I got embarrassed.
  5. I walked into the men's restroom at Kohls the other day and there was a brother and SISTER in there. I couldn't believe it. Next thing you know mothers will be accusing men of being child molestors because they walk in and use their designated public restroom when their DAUGHTERS are in there. Good grief!!!
  6. If there's a family locker room, they should simplify the rules by barring all males from the ladies' room and all females from the men's room. People like to bend the rules so you have to make them simple.
  7. If there's a family locker room, there should be notices telling people to use the family locker room if they wish to take a boy into the ladies' room or vice versa. Completely bar opposite genders, because people always try to bend the rules - "Oh, he's only a month over five," becomes, "Oh, he's only a year over five," and so on. However, as uncomfortable as it may make some people, I can see their point at the water park - if I had a young son, I wouldn't want him going off to change by himself as young as five. 1) You don't know who they're going to run in to and 2) if there's a problem, it would be harder for the mother to find the child.
  8. I honestly don't see a problem with this. I always bring my 12 year old son into the locker room with me. I want him to see the different types of vagina so that he is well educated for when he wants to fertalize another woman. I have always been sexually active and I want him to be too.
